My clothes really do seem cleaner. I was replacing an ancient top-loader, so that's understandable, but it also performs better than the Whirlpool Duet I also own The speed wash is a great asset--15 minutes and a load of pool towels is ready for the dryer. Extremely quiet and no vibration. Plays a jaunty tune when it's finished. My only concern is that is some loads come out "hot" even though I chose cold wash & rinse. But so far everything is in great shape!

I was not sure if we would like it or not and I am glad to say that we do. As per CR and Home Depot user reviews, the LG washers seem to have the least mechanical/electronics/software complaints. We got the 4 year service contract just to be sure.
As far as getting a front loader, from reading reviews i noticed that people either liked them or hated them, and i was not sure which camp i would fall in. So far i am rather liking the washer.
Our old top loader used a pile of water and we had to be careful with delicates since the agitator tended to ruin them at times.
New one uses about a 3rd of the water, which is great, but i was not sure how good it was cleaning. But over the last 2 months it has cleaned up my "i crawl under the truck wearing these" clothes perfectly and the delicates are doing fine. So unless the washer breaks down, we are happy with it.
Once it warms up and we start doing yard work and getting... Read more
1 of 4 people found the following review helpful Even LG admits that this model is not reliable, costly to maintain, May 14, 2012 This review is from: LG WM3360HVCA WM3360HVCA Front Load Washer I was pretty happy with this model, especially all the flashing lights, illuminated buttons and tuneful warnings, despite all the warnings of rotten LG service, persistent mold and premature failure. But then, all the Consumer Reports top brands only got one or two stars on Amazon.
Now I regret not purchasing a new washboard. LG, in what it labeled Important Customer Information, warns me that I am at significant financial risk unless I pay them $63.59 for one-year's service protection (but don't I already have a FREE one-year guarantee? Guess not, if LG says so). Worse, I had best pay the company $198.96 or risk much higher bills over the next three years. (Does that count start after the one-year warranty that I guess I don't have?)
I do appreciate their concern, part of Total Care (trademarked). Maybe they feel guilty about not making a more reliable washer. My 1972 Westinghouse lasted until 2005, 33 years. A replacement Kenmore failed after nine years. Likely... Read more
