I was accidentally given this machine by the store because it was boxed incorrectly. I got to use it for a 10 days while they got my correct machine in.
Others have made comments about the fill level of the machine. I would like to say that I never opened the lid during the wash or fill cycle to check the water levels I just followed the guide. On the inside of the lid there is a guide to inform you what fill point you find for small, medium and large loads. A side note that I find funny is that the dial has "Small, Medium and Super" settings, so I guess "Large" and "Super" are synonymous according to GE.
The washer does an excellent job of cleaning the clothes. They always smelled fresh and clean no matter what load level I had run. Additionally, the spin cycle does a great job of pre-drying the clothes. I never had a washer load balance issue while using because GE seems to have a layer of fluid... Read more

However, I have changed my opinion based on this washer and have to say it is the WORST washer I have ever used in 30+ years. The load settings are labeled small, large and super. In reality, it is more like xtra small, small and supersized. The wash cycle is fine - the agitator runs as one would expect. HOwever, the rinse cycle is something like I have never seen before. The dirty water drains out. Then the rinse water fills to HALF of your wash load size. And then it just sits - there is no agitation of the tub for the rinse cycle - the clothes just sit in water for about 5 mins. Any soap scum, dirt, etc that are imbedded within the clothes not in the water, will not come out. Then, the water drains out and the spin cycle kicks in. My clothes are not clean - simple spots, even pretreated, do not come out. I do not see the advantages of this type of rinse cycle... Read more

Capacity Washer Rotary Electromechanical Controls 12 Wash Cycles 630 RPM Spin Speed: White on Save your money, buy a better machine. I purchased this model from Home Depot. The first unit was defective. While set on "super" and in the rinse cycle, the water would shut off before the tub filled to anything approaching the load size it was set on. The amount of water in the tub when it shut-off would vary from a few inches to almost none at all. The agitator would also turn on when the tub had little to no water in it, which can destroy your clothes. HD replaced the unit with a second, and it has the exact same problem. I have the second unit in my home and will be returning it to purchase a better machine from a different manufacturer. The initial wash cycle was fine, it only does this on rinse, and in both cottons and permanent press settings.
