This is number two, August 26, 2011 By southern heritage (arkansas) - See all my reviews This review is from: Fisher Paykel WL42T26KW1 4.2 cu ft AquaSmart LED Washer I owned a maytag washer for 18 years till lighting hit the house killing all our appliances. Enter fisher paykel eco-smart. It was trouble from day one, the pump went out under waranty, and then things went through the holes in the washer and stopped it up several times. Seven years later it started flipping the breaker between the wash cycle and rinse. We went to Sears with me saying never again will I buy another Fisher Paykel product. My mother-in-law also purchased one before us and her quit about 5 years later. AS I walked through the door there was another Fisher Paykel aqua-smart washer on clearance for 350.00. I walked right by it and went straight to the others. They were all double and triple in price. SO, yes I had to eat my words, I couldn't walk past a deal like that. I decided that if it breaks in seven years again, it would be about right for what I paid for it. If I have good luck with it, then it will be a great deal. Time will tell. It is doing a great job... TOTALLY UNRELIABLE, October 17, 2011 This review is from: Fisher Paykel WL42T26KW1 4.2 cu ft AquaSmart LED Washer Bought FP washer at Lowes. Washer is 26 months old. Should have listened to that little voice telling me to walk away. Hinge on the plastic lid broke. Machine goes into the beep beep beep mode every 3 or 4 washes and the load NEVER balances. Extended Warranty company would not warranty my lid, said it was physical damage and not covered. Sorry, but the machine does not work without the lid. I am blessed in that my local Lowes is standing behind the product. Most people owning a FP machine are having multiple pump and mother board replacements. Fisher Paykel customer service is NOT customer friendly. ADVICE: RUN AWAY, do not buy ANY products with the Fisher Paykel name.
