Horrible all the way around, July 7, 2011 By This review is from: Maytag Performance Series MHWE950WW 27 4.5 cu. Ft. Front-Load Washer - White I have never been more disappointed in an appliance. We purchased this "high end" machine in May 2010. Within a month the product had broken and parts were on back order for about 3 weeks. Not an easy or convenient experience for a mom who had a baby via c-section that same week. We soon learned that this would be a recurring situation. Our machine has had about 8 or 9 service calls within a year. Virtually every part has been replaced and some parts replaced more than once! It started with a sensor, then another sensor, as well as the mother board went out a month later leaving us stranded for an additional month. We got it fixed and it worked for a few months. Low and behold it broke again one evening. This time it was another sensor that went out. We got it fixed, AGAIn, and then a few months later we started hearing a loud sound coming from the machine. It was on quiet mode, yet it sounded like a jet engine. We actually had several people comment on it as we had to do... Read more

Love this washer!, February 17, 2011 By This review is from: Maytag Performance Series MHWE950WW 27 4.5 cu. Ft. Front-Load Washer - White I have had this washer for about a month now, I love it. It cleans the clothes way better than a traditional washer, it has the allergen reducer which is great. I steam clean my bedding to make sure all of the dustmites are eliminated. I washed my sheets a week ago and they still smell fresh! Clothes look and smell clean. Very quiet!

Front-Load Washer - White I bought this washer less than 2 years ago and from the start it just didn't seem right. It was extremely loud, vibrated, and took forever for the wash cycles, much longer than the estimated time on the machine. There are 5 people in our family and we do many wash cycles. The machine is used constantly. Luckily we took out the extended warranty as this machine has been a nightmare. Yet again they are replacing the outer tub, basket and motor control unit. This thing is a piece of garbage. So we will see how long it will take to get this machine repaired. It's been a week now and we are still waiting. Then we'll see how long it lasts this time. I'm sure it won't be long before we're calling yet again. Plus dealing with the extended warranty people (who don't live in the US) is a nightmare. Don't buy a Maytag!!
