Great washer but a little bit pricey..., October 7, 2010 By This review is from: LG 4.2CF STEAMWASHER FRONT CONTROL G STL We didn't buy this through Amazon.com, but got it at the Home Depot. It was on sale. We did all our research and found that Samsung won the JD Power award. However, we read reviews about Samsung not cleaning the clothes well. It was between Samsung and LG. We decided to go with LG. They came in 4th on JD Power, but had good reviews. Some reviews commented the vibration. They were right. When the machine is on rise cycle, it really vibrates. Hey, throw out the anti-vibration system because there isn't one when it is on this cycle. It might have been also attributed to being on the pedestal. It vibrates so so much that it shakes the dryer next to it, and they are not even touching each other. This is why I gave it a 4 rating. Also, another thing I didn't like was the door. It swings open, so it would bang against the table next to my washer. I heard that some other washers have a stiff opening that would stay as you open the door. This might be a minor thing. just not ok, December 26, 2010 By This review is from: LG 4.2CF STEAMWASHER FRONT CONTROL G STL i cant believe no one has written that this washer shreds any clothes that require gentle cycle. we have a newborn baby and all the clothes require gentle cycle. every item comes out with small little balls all over, even on gentle cycle and inside out. What gives? This thing sucks and it was expensive!
