Works with Kenmore HE3, September 10, 2009 By The Burgermuffin (Bethesda, MD) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Whirlpool 8541503 Duet and Epic Stack Kit (Tools & Home Improvement) The biggest issue for me was whether I could get it to fit the Kenmore HE3 line, and it does. Not a lot of cross-reference out there, but it fits.
It turns out that many different dryers potentially stack on different washing machines; the width of the unit footprint needs to be the same, and the depth needs to be close. I could have stacked an HE4 or HE5 on top of an HE3 washer, but I wanted the HE3 Steam.

To check if this is compatible with your washer and dryer: the dryer needs two rectangular holes on the back at the bottom left and right, and the washer needs two sets of two open screw holes on the back at the top left and right.
